The Rufiji River is one of Africa's best spots for crocodile and hippo viewing. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but your guide will maximize your viewing opportunities.
Yes. Our 4x4 safari vehicles are modern, well-maintained, and specifically designed for safari comfort. This safari is moderately active. Most time is spent in the vehicle (game drives and boat safari are seated). Game drives start early (6:00 AM) and involve long hours sitting and observing. The village visit includes a short walk. Overall fitness should be good but no extreme climbing or strenuous hiking is required.
Day 1 departure: 6:20 AM from Zanzibar Domestic Airport (50-minute flight).
Day 2 return: Afternoon departure from Nyerere airstrip, arriving Zanzibar by 4:00 PM.
Times may vary slightly based on season and weather. You'll need to arrive at Zanzibar airport by 5:45 AM, so early wake-up is essential.
