Day-by-day itinerary
Morning: Hotel pickup in Arusha (8:00 AM)
Drive: 2.5-hour scenic drive to Tarangire National Park
Lunch: Picnic lunch in the park
Afternoon Game Drive: Tarangire is famous for elephant herds up to 250 strong, especially in dry season. Also expect zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, buffalo, and predators. The massive baobab trees are iconic and provide water for elephants in the dry season through their unique storage technique.
Evening: Return to lodge, dinner, and overnight stay

Afternoon Game Drive: Enter one of the world's most biodiverse ecosystems. Serengeti is home to over 4,000 lions, 200+ cheetahs, 1,000+ leopards, 3,500+ hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs. Search for the Great Wildebeest Migration (Dec–Mar). The sheer density and diversity of wildlife is unmatched anywhere on Earth.

Early Game Drive: Depart at 6:00 AM for optimal wildlife viewing
Mid-Morning: Return to camp for brunch and rest (10:30 AM–12:30 PM)
Afternoon Game Drive: Full-day immersion in Serengeti. Different areas offer different ecosystems - central Serengeti for predators, western corridor for river crossings, eastern plains for vast herds. Your guide will tailor routes based on animal activity and seasonal migration patterns.
Special Note (Dec–Mar): Ndutu area is included when Great Wildebeest Migration reaches the calving grounds. Thousands of newborn wildebeest attract massive predator activity.

Crater Descent: Descend 600m into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's seven natural wonders. Formed 2 million years ago when a massive volcano erupted, its fertile lava created a unique closed ecosystem.
Game Drive: The crater floor is home to the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa: 20,000+ large animals including lions, zebras, buffalo, and black rhinos. Flamingos, hippos, and elephants are also common.

Evening: Return to rim lodge, dinner, overnight

Pricing and booking terms
Guaranteed Departures: All trips depart on the first Wednesday of each month, minimum 3 travelers. We confirm each trip 20 days before departure. If fewer than 3 registrations are received, you may reschedule or join another provider's trip. Group Size Matters: Larger groups (4–6 travelers) enjoy lower per-person pricing. Solo travelers can request to join an existing group booking.
Starting Price: $1,870 per person (low season) / Up to $2,280 (peak season, limited spots)
Deposit Required: 30% of total booking cost secures your spot
Minimum Group: 3 travelers (we confirm trips 20 days before departure)
Balance Due: 70% balance due 30 days before departure date

Cancellation: 45+ days = full refund minus $100 fee. 30–44 days = forfeit 30%. Within 30 days = forfeit 100% (travel insurance recommended).

For Great Wildebeest Migration: June–October (main migration through Serengeti) or December–March (calving season in Ndutu). For highest wildlife concentration: July–October (dry season). For lowest prices: April–May, November. All seasons offer exceptional wildlife viewing; your choice depends on budget and specific animals you want to see.
Each safari jeep has 3–6 travelers maximum (per Tanzanian park regulations). You'll travel with fellow adventurers, making new friends while exploring together. Our groups are kept intimate for a personalized experience and better wildlife viewing. If you prefer private guides, we offer vehicle upgrades.
The Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, rhino) are all present in this circuit. Serengeti has 4,000+ lions and excellent predator populations. Ngorongoro has the highest wildlife density in Africa including black rhinos. We estimate 70–80% probability of seeing all five species during this 5-day safari with experienced guides and extended game time.
All lodges are Silver tier (3–4 star): comfortable rooms with en-suite bathrooms, clean beds, warm showers, and excellent meals. Inoga Lodge is our Tarangire/Ngorongoro base (highly rated). Golden Safari Camp in Serengeti offers authentic tented accommodations (still with solid beds and bathrooms). Rooms are single occupancy standard. Upgrades to Premium or Luxury lodges available upon request.
Absolutely! Solo travelers are welcome and are matched with existing group bookings. You'll join 2–5 other travelers on the same safari. Many solo travelers report that group safaris are the best way to meet fellow adventurers. Single room supplements may apply depending on season; contact us for specific pricing.
Great idea! After 5 days of intense safari, 2–3 beach days are the perfect recovery. We offer post-safari flights from Arusha to Zanzibar.
