Frequently asked questions
Yes! Children aged 5+ generally enjoy this tour. The cultural portions (cooking class, villages) are especially engaging for kids. Safari game drives work for all ages. We can adjust pacing and activities based on your family's needs. Ask about family group discounts.
No guarantees, as this is wildlife in its natural habitat. However, the big five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo) are regularly sighted in these parks. Lions and elephants are very common. Leopards and rhinos are rarer. Our guides will do their best to locate them. It's part of the adventure!
Moderate activity level. Days 3–4 involve hiking on Kilimanjaro slopes (4–5 hours daily, steep terrain). Days 6–9 are vehicle-based safaris with minimal walking. Days 1–2 and 5 are light activity/relaxation. Good fitness helps but isn't essential. We can modify pace as needed.
Absolutely! This package visits Kilimanjaro's foothills but not the summit. You can add a 6-day Machame or Marangu climb for a mountain experience. Or extend with a Zanzibar beach resort stay after your safari. We offer combo packages - ask about customized itineraries.
Dry season (June–October and December–January) offers best weather and wildlife viewing. Rainy season (April–May, November) has lush landscapes, fewer tourists and lower prices. Book 2–3 months in advance during peak season, or flexible booking during low season. We can accommodate most dates.
